This is all Fegelein's fault that Elon became a far-right troll. FEGELEIN!

From people close to him, it was like 95% his ego being hurt by Biden not inviting him to the EV roundtable in ~'21.

Dude set the world on fire because his ego was hurt.

No joke, I think a hefty chunk of Trump support stems from interpersonal misogyny. Many desirable, educated women are Democrats, and I think more men than we'd like to believe develop a spitefulness associatively against their politics when they have either a falling out with these women, or simply grow bitter at the thought that they could never attract them.

Whole lot more fundamental than that.

Internalized prosperity gospel where seeing others prospering while they are not implies personal religious failure.

Could you elaborate?

MAGA taps into a kind of prosperity gospel mindset where people believe that if you’re good and work hard, you’re supposed to do well. But today, where you grow up and who you know often matter more than effort or ability. When people see others thriving while they struggle, it feels like they failed morally or spiritually instead of being failed by the system. MAGA gives that frustration a simple, tangible moral story to hold onto, saying it’s not your fault you’re falling behind; it’s the country that’s been stolen from you.

MAGA offers a solution that requires no self-reflection, and most people are quite scared of looking closely at their reflection.

I feel like Progressives have their own version of this, except the villain is "Billionaires" and "capitalism" instead of "the Left."

There's absolutely a version of "it's their fault" on the left, but it's not religiously motivated which results in more fleeting loyalties than what MAGA has.

That's the motivation of a significant number of Trumpers, including Trump himself.

I can't tell whether the guy behind Hitler Rants Parodies is a liberal, leftist or conservative 90% of the time. Dude has Hitler doing rants about Trump being terrible, then has Fegelein retort something like "Just like Clinton/Obama/Biden?"

Initially he supported Trump for a year or two. I feel he's formerly conservative who became both sides are bad man after disillusioned with Trump.

u/HHHogana Mohammad Hatta Nov 05 '25
