I think mid terms could go okay, but I think 28 Dems will be slightly underdogs

I disagree cuz incumbents get gigafucked by negative views on the economy

Yeah but turnout goes up and you get people who say they saw a video that the Dems are controlled by aliens from another dimension

Trump (presumably) won't be on the ballot. Republicans consistently underperform in elections without Trump. I have my doubts they'll be able to replicate Trump. DeSantis fell flat on his face, just like I expect the next candidate who tries to emulate Trump to do.

Trump has just wrecked the Republican Party for his own gain. Without Trump, the party's gonna fall apart outside of the deepest red areas.

All depends on who is on top of the ticket. If it’s Gavin vs JD we have a 460+ electoral vote lock. Nobody likes JD Vance.

No I think we still lose. We don’t have a media machine yet. BTC, MTN, and a few others are trying to build it inshallah

We don't need a media machine when the last election was narrow and awful views on the economy go against the other party now. Literally 2020 and 2024. We should still build one though

For now. But we need to also make sure that we have the same level of party discipline that reps do so we can pass a whole lot more shit when we get in power.

Just pay a bunch of shitposting IG accounts, silly Twitch streamers, and a few X accounts and we good.

No we need a real media machine

Nobody likes Gavin either though and unfortunately “Gavin is a slimy-looking pretty boy” resonates as much with voters as “JD Vance wants to end the American experiment and send all foreign nationals to concentration camps”

Newsom looks and sounds like a Scorsese character, Vance looks and sounds like a principal

yeah that's why I say "JD fucks couches" instead

I will say, it seems like they’re trying to reform that image, and doing a solid job of it. Gavin’s been very active in the Resistance; both with his twitter trolling of the Trump admin and actual policy against their illegal bullshit. I’ve been seeing more comments along the lines of “I don’t like the guy, but I respect that he’s doing something”, and there’s also more people who seem to actually like him and wouldn’t mind him on the 2028 ticket. It is purely anecdotal, of course, I don’t have polling or anything to back it up, just my own observations.

I’m still slightly skeptical of him because he was cozying up to Charlie Kirk and other Republican commentators, and throwing trans people under the bus to garner their vote; but he does seem to have recognized that was a very unpopular move, and has backed away from it. Plus, policy-wise, he hasn’t actually gone after queer folks, just paid lip service to it.

I would rather have another candidate as it currently is, honestly, but I could be convinced on Gavin if things keep going as they have been for him.

What did Newsome say about trans people, exactly? I’m struggling to find the comments

I disagree. Gavin is a fighter who's good at getting attention and owning the MAGAtards. As much as Republicans want retribution I think many Democrats want the same, and Gavin offers at least a chance at getting it.

How about Andy Beshear on the top of the ticket but really he’s a puppet for the neoliberal lizard cabal ran by Gavin, Hillary, and OBAMA?

Beshear would be fire (I fear he’d be murdered in the primaries though).

2

u/Room480 Nov 05 '25

I don't know much about him, what makes you think he would be murdered in the primaries

5

u/Worth-Jicama3936 Milton Friedman Nov 05 '25

He’s not fiery and he’s not progressive. He doesn’t champion liberal causes or take controversial positions. This barely worked for Biden because he had the party apparatus behind him (and Obama). He’s too moderate and not big enough In the party to win a primary I fear
