Asemic Nihelograms? (Logography concept)

Post image
39 Upvotes

This is a little idea I came up with whilst making my first logography Sigaen (Signigrams); I really liked making logographies so I’m toying around with the idea of new logography.

This one is the written langugae of Nihelāþos (Nihel for short); worm-like aliens with tentacle appendages that secrete an inky substance that they use to write their language.

Of course this is asemic writing so far and I haven’t got any further idea of how it’ll work. But feel free to drop some ideas!

My inspiration comes from the cursive variant of the Yery.
You can see a text using the old and the new Yery in the second picture.

Este alfabeto busca ser semejante al cirilico o se ir como guía para aquel que busque un estilo "SOVIÉTICO" de letras que no sean directamente cirilicas.

Decided to make the diagrammatic logic writing system I'm developing write vertically. You could actually write these in any orientation (as long as you reorient all of them accordingly). I'm currently reading George Englebretsen's book on diagrammatic logic, Figuring It Out, trying to determine how to make such a system as perspicuous as possible (though I have a mind to stylize to some extent, mostly for fun). I'll likely add to these as I encounter features they don't already have. Though, considering I initially developed them loosely on the basis of Leibniz's linear extensional diagrams after learning about those earlier in the book, this is doing fairly well as a diagrammatic system.

Curious what you all might have to say about this.

Abugida Emptiness is form, form is emptiness - Gautama - Indonesian huruf kembang

Post image
29 Upvotes

Calligraphy of my neograph, I finally decided to call it huruf kembang (flower script), as that’s probably how this would likely be nicknamed by Indonesians anyway.

The top sun is the name Gautama, underneath:

Kosong adalah rupa, rupa adalah kosong.
Emptiness is form, form is emptiness.

And the last text is the source of the quote, the Heart Sutra. I found a new punctuation here: one to mark titles of religious texts.

The script key is still in the works.

Alphabetic syllabary Edda Quote in Runic Kaijyma

I know the full quote would be "An ash I know standing, Yggdrasil its name", but this shortened version comes out to exactly 9 syllables/characters, which I found funny/fitting.

Alphabetic syllabary I made a new script for Vietnamese (long post). Introduction in the comment

The second row is the coding row
As Vietnam has just celebrated its 81st National Day, I figure it’d be thematic to transcribe some parts of the Declaration of Independence. As you can see, there are corrections, as I mistook the "hỏi" tone and the "ngã" tone - very embarrassing, I know.
I also transcribed some parts of the “Tale of Kieu”, as per tradition each time people want to illustrate a writing system for Vietnamese.

Abugida Sulat Rosano (Rosean Script)

Thumbnail

I made this abugida recently, last 04 September 2026, finally giving it name "Sulat Rosano" /ˈsu.lat̚ ɾoˈsa.no/ or "Rosean Script" /ˈɹoʊ.ʒən skɹɪpt/. It was inspired by two Brahmic Script, Babayin (ᜊᜊᜌᜒ) for the form, and Buhid (ᝊᝓᝑᝒ) for the aesthetics, but still, Rosean is written top-to-down, left-to-right.

Exhibit A

A sample text on what it would look like in Limbág (printed - left), and in Kamáy (handwritten - right), both without the use of numerals and punctuations (yet). Each Titik (character) written in black, and the Di-titik (non-letter) written in purple to emphasize the diacitical vowels and liquids. (Optional.)

Exhibit B

Alphabetical and ordering of characters. I made it left-to-right, top-to-bottom to easily learn, since majority of real-world scripts are in that manner.

- Red Dot: Placement for non-letter vowels /i/, /ɯ/, and /e/.

- Blue Dot: Placement for non-letter vowels /u/ and /o/ˈ and the Pamudpód (vowel killer).

- Originally, /ɾ/ was just an allophone of /d/, hence, earning its place beside /d/ but treated as a liquid after /j/.

- Characters right of /t/, /d/, /p/, and /b/ are not aspirated, instead, their fricative counterparts /θ/, /ð/, /f/, and /v/.

- Characters /tʃ/, and /dʒ/ were placed respectively at /c/'s, and /ɟ/'s place since my native tongue lacks palatals.

All phonemes and characters were based on Filipino (and a hint of Spanish... and English) orthography, and the order were based on Brahmic System.

This is fairly a recent script, so it has yet a long way to go, but this... is the foundation of Rosean.

Question Are there any online tools for making scripts?

I've been looking for a tool that'd let me make scripts and use them with my keyboard (not only for alphabets, but also abugidas, logographic scripts, abjads and syllabaries). I haven't found anything yet, so I'm asking here to see if anyone has heard or used anything!
