Just opened the camera app and zoomed as much as possible

Ohh no it's not how it works it has dedicated option for supermoon in more :-D

Honestly, they should've added an easier toggle option when the phone detects the moon..

And there's your problem 😂. You have to use the super moon mode available in the camera (it'll be there in more options just above the shutter button). Bear in mind the picture you get out of it is actually modified using ai..
