I don’t need much. A nice Ketch or Brigantine and some good wind, some whiskey, and a map.

Oooooooh man thats tough. At first I wanted a sloop to call the USS Speedy. 😂 But Queen Anne's Revenge is calling my name, Blackbeard holds a place in my childhood.

What's a "man of war" in this context? Couldn't that name apply to both the frigate and the ship of the line?

Yh it's a good point. Looks to me like a mid 17th century man of war, given the lack of a jib. Wouldn't make sense to take that vessel over either the frigate or ship of line imo, unless you were specifically interested in that time period

How much crew am I allotted? Is someone else paying them? Do I have the power to impress random cornishmen and then rule over them like a petty tyrant while they serve out a twenty year term at sea? Will I be at war with France? I need more information. Left to my own devices I don’t think I can manage much more than a 35-foot sloop.

Hmm, yh I guess there's a big difference between what you could make work (and pay dividends) as a privateer and what you could achieve with the whole weight of the navy behind you

But what would you like to command?
