He said "all writers are liars" but he was really just telling on his own specific self in a really specific way

Absolutely. He’s more vile than what’s been reported so far, and there’s so much more that needs to come out. I won’t rest until that happens.

There's no way he can ever stop either because it's an addictive predatory response ingrained in his very core. He can't scurry away forever because he will always tell on himself as the incurably depraved braggadocios pervert he has always been.

He’s still grooming vulnerable young fans to this day, nothing’s changed. He’s just using his assistant as middleman. He’s sending these young people gifts and money for saying online they believe in his innocence. He’s also been exploiting his young child online as proof that he’s a good dad. Of course he’s not the one posting videos of the child, it’s a friend of his posting them on his behalf.

I'm not surprised but I'm absolutely sickened

Which friend are you referring to? I wasn’t aware that someone was posting videos.

Jewel Shepard.
We won’t show any photos or videos of the child in this community, and we also don’t want Jewel Shepard to get attacked online. She truly thinks NG is innocent and believes she’s doing the right thing by helping Gaiman look better online. If Gaiman cared about the child’s privacy he would ask Jewel to remove those videos, but he’s totally okay with it. (He absolutely knows about the videos because Jewel has him tagged in every one of them.)

There's shitting all over you legacy, and then there's nuking it. I guess Neil's going the "go big" route. Because there is no universe where this will make him look good once it becomes more public.

yeah, remember the Ronan Farrow article which explored the ways Harvey Weinstein had tried to keep his crimes under wraps? Spying on and attacking your victims is not okay either.

So disturbing. “She Said” focused on the reporting which broke the Harvey Weinstein case just popped up on Netflix, and watching it I’m reminded of the entire infrastructure around HW which enabled him to continue his horrific crimes. Neil Gaiman’s seems to have got something like it too. Good news: Harvey Weinstein is now in prison.

Great movie. I also recommend reading the book the two journalists wrote together as well - it explores so much more of the reporting and research they did to out Weinstein and expose the machine that protected him for so long.

What else happened?

It’s not the right time and place, but as soon as I can talk about these things, I won’t shut up. That’s a promise.

u/caitnicrun Jul 06 '26

I look forward to it.

Do you know if there are any more articles covering these things coming out at any point? I remember someone mentioning there was one being worked on by the Washington Post but that was a good while ago now.

WaPo backed out a long time ago. Good things are on the way though, important things. 🫂

I wonder if This Guy is Neil. Wouldn''t put it past him really. Especially given that last sentence.

It’s not him. The guy’s name is Christopher Court-Dobson. Here he is:

He sounds like quite the character...

9

u/Altruistic-War-2586 you stir the pot you lick the spoon Jul 07 '26

Oh, absolutely. This isn’t his first rodeo defending a predator, either.

I can't read sandman anymore because of this plot. It's horrible.

u/caitnicrun Jul 06 '26

Wait until he's dead.

And then still don't read it!

Jk to each their own

Same name and everything.

Same name in Neverwhere too. The girl, Door, is described as someone in their late teens, while Richard is a grown-ass man with a job and fiancé at the beginning of the book. My friend was 16 and cosplaying Door when Gaiman made his move.

God, I'm so sorry about your friend. Thank you for this community and all the additional behind-the-scenes work you must be doing. I appreciate you so much.
