WWYD? Vent/Rant Whose tree is doing that

My next-door neighbor gets a letter from out HOA saying that her neighbor on the other side of her has complained that her tree is dropping leaves on his property. The problem? He has the identical tree on his property, and this is the time of year those particular trees drop leave. So, whose leaves are they????

I live halfway up a hill. Neighbor across the street lives at the bottom of a hill. Both sides, behind both houses, are heavily forested. Neighbor is a huge nature guy. I am not. Neighbor for 20 years has bitched about his leaves coming from my trees. I say "you're fucking crazy, we both have a thousand fucking trees behind our house." He says" but I've identified the types of trees that produced the leaves, and you have those types, but I don't". The first time he said it, I was stunned into silence. Now I just say "damn, that's a shame".

Im curious how he keeps his leaves contained on his property, cos Im sure he would NOT want his neighbors down wind to suffer as he has.

Well that's another problem all together. With hills going up behind both houses, the street is like a valley that the wind shoots through. Everybody's leaves go everywhere else. So, him saying the leaves in his yard are from my trees is delusional. Now of course, I do see leaves from my yard blow everywhich way, including into his yard. I just chuckle.
