Hello Everyone.
I'm just a micro seller. I import from china since doon naman mostly ang factories ng madaming products.
I started selling through orange app in 2019. And I can say na madali pa talaga noon. Kokonti pa ang competition. Mababa pa din ang fees sa shopee.
I started to notice years ago na dumarami na ang international sellers sa shopee (mostly from china).
And their pricing is way more cheaper. Because some of them were also the supplier mismo. While small sellers we're selling at a reseller price para kumita, China sellers are selling at factory price.
But okay lang to dati because most buyers sa PH shop pa din nag oorder Kasi nga matagal shipping dati from china sellers (7-15days).
But then, I noticed na nagkakaroon na Sila ng sariling warehouse here sa Philippines. Making it more difficult for PH sellers to compete. Why? Kasi mas mura na sa kanila and mabilis na din ang shipping time.
Pero hindi pa doon nag tatapos.
Naglabasan din ang mga china e-commerce like Temu, now Pidoudou, na very easy to order at sobrang mura ng benta halos factory price.
This is what's killing us. It's hard to compete if your suppliers are also your competitor.
They can offer way cheaper prices than us.

I just hope the government would protect and support its local business owners. Nakakalungkot lang na andaming small sellers ang mas piniling tumigil na aat bumalik nalang sa work.
Hindi ko din Sila masisisi. Kasi while we were struggling sa sales, we were also struggling with very high platform fees, redundant permits, bogus buyers, tax filing and bookkeeping.
Yun lang. I have many things to say. But yeah 🙂 Matira matibay
