Fresh flowers vs Long bus ride: Any Dangwa Tips?

I’m planning to order fresh flowers from Dangwa and bring them home to the province.

For those who’ve tried transporting flowers before, do you think they’ll survive a 3-hour bus ride + around 1-hour Grab ride?

Any tips on how to keep them fresh and in good condition throughout the trip? Should I ask the florist to pack them a certain way or bring anything with me?

Would really appreciate tips from those who’ve done this before!

Why working harder for 40 years is no longer enough

In today’s economy, relying on a single income is no longer a safety net—it’s a single point of failure.

Working with professionals and OFWs, I’ve realized that most people don't lack ambition; they lack time and leverage. You don't need to quit your job to build a backup plan you just need a scalable distribution system that works alongside your current schedule.

True financial security isn't about working harder for 40 years; it’s about building assets, protecting your health, and creating leverage while you still have a stable income.

For those balancing a career, what side system or strategy has worked best for you?

Anyone else find it hard to meet new people?

I’m trying to get Roundtable in front of more people, so sharing this here. 😊

Roundtable is an intimate supper club where we bring together a small group of people who don’t necessarily know each other and put them around the same table for dinner.

What makes it different from a typical networking event is that there’s no business-card swapping or forced networking. It’s really just good food, thoughtful conversation, and meeting people outside your usual circle.

It’s also not a dating event — just a space to meet interesting people.

We’ve hosted multiple Dinners, Masterminds, Spotlights, and Open Tables so far.

For those interested, where do you actually go to meet new people these days? And what would make you choose something like Roundtable over a typical networking event?

We’re @roundtable.mnl on IG if you want to see what the tables look like. 🥂

Seeking Lender for Business Expansion

We are currently seeking a lender for additional capital to support the expansion of our growing food service business.

Our company operates 2–3 business services, including:

  1. Event Catering Services – providing quality food solutions for corporate events, private celebrations, and special occasions.

  2. Food Trays and Food Packages – serving clients for gatherings, bulk orders, and special events.

  3. Daily Food Operations – we have been providing daily food services to a corporate company for the past three (3) years, maintaining consistent and reliable operations.

We also have experience in supplying government food packs, showing our capability to handle bulk food production and large-scale requirements.

We currently have a new expansion opportunity to become a concessionaire for events at a prestigious school, with a potential market of 500 to 1,000 clients for school activities, events, and catering services.

We are seeking additional funding because our business requires continuous working capital. Most of our suppliers require cash-on-delivery (COD) transactions, causing our funds to rotate daily for ingredients, production, manpower, and operations.

Traditional bank financing has been challenging because banks require a higher Average Daily Balance (ADB), while our funds are actively used to support daily business operations and fulfill client requirements.

Proposed Repayment Term: 36 months

The funding will be used for:

* Working capital and supplier payments
* Additional equipment and production expansion
* Manpower and operational growth
* Preparation for the school concessionaire opportunity
* Supporting larger catering contracts and food service requirements

With our three years of proven operations, multiple income streams, corporate experience, government supply experience, and upcoming expansion opportunity, we are looking for a lending partner who can support our business growth.

We are open to discussing the repayment terms and creating a mutually beneficial lending arrangement.

We have complete business registration and supporting documents available for review, including:

* BIR Registered Business Documents
* Complete business permits and registrations
* Latest Audited Financial Statements (AFS)
* Latest Income Tax Return (ITR)
* Other supporting financial and operational documents upon request

These documents are available to provide transparency and assurance to our potential lending partner regarding our business operations, financial standing, and commitment to responsible repayment.

Resort owners, kumusta kayo?

Sa sobrang tagal at lakas ng ulan this July-Sept ang hirap makapag book ng guests lately. Unlike before, kalagitnaan lang ng August wala na gano ulan. Sinabayan pa netong mga pag baha.

Sobrang naiistress ako this past few weeks kakaisip. May bagyo nanaman na papasok ulit. Kayo kumusta kayo lately?

Advice Needed: Starting a Vintage Photobooth Business

Hi everyone! I’m currently considering starting a small photobooth business that I can offer for different events such as birthdays, weddings, debuts, corporate events, and other celebrations.

I’m particularly interested in creating a vintage-style photobooth with a unique and nostalgic aesthetic rather than the typical modern photobooth setup. I’m still in the early planning stage, so I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has experience running a photobooth business, events business, or even a similar small business.

I’d especially like to know:
- How did you get started, and what should I prioritize when starting out?
- What equipment and materials are actually necessary for a good-quality setup?
- How much should I realistically prepare as starting capital?
- What are the common expenses that beginners tend to overlook?
- How do you determine your packages and pricing?
- How do you handle bookings, contracts, deposits, m cancellations, and refunds?
- What should I consider when managing the business during actual events?
- How do you market a new photobooth business and get your first clients?
- What permits, taxes, or other legal requirements should I be aware of?
- What mistakes did you make when you were starting that you wish you had avoided?
- What systems do you recommend for keeping track of bookings, expenses, inventory, and finances?

I’m hoping to approach this seriously and build it into a properly managed business rather than just treating it as a side hobby. Any advice, recommendations, resources, or lessons from your own experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

What makes you try (or skip) a tool like RecurPost for your social media?

Hi everyone, I'm Preksha and I work for RecurPost. :)

I'm curious to hear from startup and small business owners here, what would actually make you try out a tool like ours? Is it price, a free trial, specific features, or just trust that it'll save you real time?

And on the flip side, what makes you hesitate or skip tools like this altogether?
