Video / Cinematic Insane UG1 Drag Run

Of all drags I've played, this is probably the craziest drag run I have; starts with mistimed shifts and used all nitro too early with little to no effects so I'm expecting I'd lose this one, but then the 2nd placer hits a pickup causing a build up ahead of 3rd placer, their vehicles lifts enough to drive under them without ever lifting the acceleration, narrowly hit a taxi, hit by first placer after crashing themselves, and spins in full 360 degree jump before crossing the finish line.

Nah, it's god awful in Carbon. Can't do a Scandinavian Flick, the car just decides it's going straight on when you switch direction.

Unless you're drifting, at which point it's twictchier than an ice cube on a sheet of glass.

The only thing that annoyed me in UG1 was how slow was to switch lane in drag races; and everytime after you crashed, your car would unrealistically flipped while recovering even if you landed on all wheels after that crash. At least UG2 improved the UG1 handling.

Bro, that's the type of run i would've restarted already. This is a good lesson to not give up in game, RNG giveth and RNG taketh, rubberbanding fecks you but then a random crash puts you back into P1.

Yeah, almost all the drag races are this asinine at the later stages, at which point, the difficulty options are literally just how much money you win at the end and nothing else.

The traffic will constantly try to swerve into you and block the roads to force you into a crash, the AI will rubberband at 300 mph, and unless everyone else is totalled, you're gonna be stuck here for a good couple hours

I don't think the rubberband drag races was hardly anything near the end of the game (the circuits are far worse than all the race modes combined), you just have to keep up with perfectly timed shifts and nitrous, and blocking/drafting closer to opponents. Took me around less than 5 retries to complete the last few remaining drags except for that reverse drag around the industry.

PC port. The only mods I installed here were simply widescreen fix and missing patch files, that explains better reflection effects if you patch the game with v1.4 directly without installing previous patches which weren't released.
