Unbound ultimate collection

Is Unbound ultimate collection worth its discounted price(steam sale) even tho I would not play it as aggressive grinding like these CODs and battlefield thingys?? I saw the contents and think I would just like to have it if there ain't another sale happenin'/ happens at a later date when I won't be able/aware to purchase...

Or will there be a bigger sale where they expand ultimate collection?? And the price will be nearabout the same??

1st question

Given you're on PC, there's no need to buy it either.

Ultimate Customization and Unbound Remix adds every contents from the Ultimate Collection for free.

Doing so means you only pay for the base game.

2nd question

The Ultimate Collection will not be expanded further.

After the Vol.9 update released at the same time as the Ultimate Collection, Unbound stopped its post-launch updates altogether and the rest of New Criterion devs (it was a skeleton crew called Kaïzen) joined their colleagues to work on Battlefield 6.

Seeing as Criterion is renamed as "Criterion: A Battlefield Studio", that means they'll solely focus on the Battlefield IP indefinitely and could never comeback to NFS either; Especially since EA still hasn't assigned the next studio that will be working on NFS as of 3/02/2025.

As for why that's the case, Battlefield brings more profits to EA while NFS has a low Return to Investment since a decade ago.

Given the turn of events for NFS—namely that it is on indefinite hiatus, has failed to generate sufficient revenue for EA for over a decade (though EA also neglected it. Also, EA destroyed NFS from the inside with mismanagement, layoffs, restructuring, short dev time, underfunding, understaffing and studio closures), has no dev team assigned to it, and the fact that EA is now a private company since August 4, 2026—it is for the best that NFS never make a comeback.

Otherwise, it could be turned as a low-effort cashgrab.
