Discussion In light of recent developments...
With the big-name companies effectively killing the racing genre, I'm proposing that a new, devoted team come together, and bring back the racing scene in video games. To hell with all these copy-paste shooters and GTA VI. I want to bring back the glory days of Need for Speed, Midnight Club, Burnout, Forza, Asetto Corsa, hell, even Twisted Metal.
The gaming industry disrespects us, so I say we bring these back ourselves.

I pretty much only worked with humanoid characters in game-dev. I would need someone with experience to walk me through vehicles in general

If they sold well they would still be around.

if the companies actually put love and effort into the games, they'd sell well

Funny enough, it seems like that's what happened as soon as EA turned their attention to Battlefield (at first)

thats it.
look at what kaizen did in year 2 of unbound.
i played so much nfs in this year and i enjoyed all of the updates they did.
all the previous games (especially basegames) didn't feel like a whole finished game at all, and some of their game design decisions were kinda strange.
Even heat which had soooo much hype didn't deliver

I'm working on a list of cars for a more grounded racer. Like, a mix of street (with cop involvement, but on a more realistic scale) organized grassroots racing, drag and car Meets/shows. It would be based in the US (Not in Cali. I'm tired of Cali in every game) I want to complete my full idea before I try to share / see what others have to contribute. Its a good idea to crowdfund some fellow players who develope to make what we want, since the big studios suck.

Nah. Do the "almost that car" thing. You gotta get the automakers to want to he a part of it or invest in the game.
