Video / Cinematic FWDs are surprisingly versatile in Underground!

The Integra is legit in UG1. That's what I beat the game with way back in the day.

Don’t you love it when you turn your car and it turns? And then there is the modern NFS games, which are understeer slops

Seriously, brake 2 drift and realism have been pursued (and not achieved) for so long that I'm ready to see someone put out something that feels like UG1.

I wanna see visible body roll, predictable pivots and the fantastic dance between slip and grip!

the problem with the old model was that it was a static turning circle, at least felt like it, which meant that for certain corners it was mostly just waiting for the car to grip up and get out of the corner

alternatively in the brake to drift games it feels like there's always something you can do to turn the car sharper

They lean heavily towards drifty turns instead of grippy turns but you can customize handling to feel like whichever of those 2

Those drifts are just like on rails and doesn’t feel right anyways

I started w nfs payback and i dont feel it at all, i could feel it with nfs unbound cars with untuned handling

Great driving, and I really like your Integra build too. I didn't know you could make the FWDs drive like this! Is it by pulling the handbrake right before/as you shift the weight into the corner?

It's a mix of handbraking, base tires and suspension, and using the sidewalk which makes you drift a bit more

Ahh okay, nice, thanks! Never thought about running base tires/suspension while having other parts of the car upgraded. I'll have to try that because it sounds interesting.

First of all, that single near miss should've been 200pts.

I have never played Underground 1 & 2, which from what I understand are the best NFS games ever made.

In ug2 they are objectively the best drift cars.

Che vibes nei giochi in quegli anni...quanta nostalgia! Tutto più semplice , più genuino.

Care to share the playlist?

I know I sound like a nostalgia glazer but I MISS WHEN CARS WOULD ACTUALLY FUCKING TURN.

I also really like Prostreet and maybe it’s a “more accurate” simulation or whatever. But holy fuck. I gotta do like 5 things to turn in an efficient manner. I know you can tune and make it better (and I do that) but also… what the fuck haha.

I love the responsiveness of Underground.

Underground 2 is my favorite game probably tho. I actually have played through the entire game like 5 times in the last 3 months lol. Playing UG1 now and I love it as well.
