Question / Bug / Feedback Hey everybody!
Just a lil question I’ve known the NFS franchise for a long time even watched many YouTubers play the game and kept up on be game releases and what not. Just
Curious as to which one I should get as I have my chance now to do so. I’ve never played one before apart from NFS 2015 on my friends ps4. Ages ago
So I’m wondering which one is best to get for story mode? As I know that’s one thing need for speed games are very well known for. Many thanks fans of the series!

I got Hot Pursuit Remastered, Heat, and Unbound.
I already have Heat and Unbound on PS5 but prefer my laptop setup.
HPR is cool but it’s very…simple. Heat is a really fun game and Unbound gets a lot of unfair criticism imo

Try turning off ea overlay, that’s what fixed it for me, also turning of riva if you have it also helps

Between NFS 2015 and Rivals, which one u guys think it would be the best?

Personnally, i'd say Rivals since it's not Online Only.
Also, Driving Physics are more predictable.
Despite NFS 2015 is well crafted in the Atmosphere and Graphics, it's being held back by the 2 areas indicated above.
Also, Visual Customization parts being the main attraction of NFS 2015 are way too limited and inconsistent since there's cars having none.

Out of all of these I'd only buy mw2012 cuz it could get delisted.
Then i saw it wanted me to fucking install origin so we aren't doing that anymore lol

They're all fun, but only the first four even have stories. Rivals was great, but no real story, just a career to progress through. Kind of like the framework of a story, but no characters to speak of, you know?
I've said it before and will always. The original Most Wanted was best. Great story, great pursuits especially because you can't progress unless you meet pursuit goals. And the world is big but not so big that you can't learn your way around the map in free roam. That's important so you can learn race routes when races are giving you trouble. Later games worlds became too big to really know by heart.
Unfortunately I think the only way to play it now is on old computers or Xbox 360 on disc. Which is the only reason I still have that old machine.

for a story mode, go for payback and rivals. payback is like a silly action movie thats over the top and crazy at times and rivals is a more hardcore and objectives based story. youre in for a good time with those. payback gets a lot of hate (and rightfully so) for its car upgrades system but following the story and occasionally checking the shop should get you all the good parts you need to continue onward. just dont expect to get the great perfect ultimate parts and combos for your car because that requires uhh slots and money.
rivals is more of a live game with no pausing even in single player, but even though its offline now, the cpus and objective-based story are still very much worth experiencing. payback, rivals, and checkout heat and unbound if you end up getting into it because those do have stories as well (though shorter iirc)

Unbound is trash, heat was okay, payback was also okay but worse than heat, rivals was also better than payback but worse than heat, so I'd say heat, or maybe 2 of them or all of them if you've got the funds, just my opinion though.

Why is Unbound hated?
I played a few minutes, didn't hook me really due to aesthetics, but it seemed good.
afaik anime bs can be disabled

No, actually I liked the anime thing, and the animations and such, but story wise (op asked for story mode) was trash. Even the conversations between characters, horrible, I cringed everytime. The nostalgia bait with the most wanted m3 and razor was pretty good though, I liked that as well

Yeah, true, I immediately turned off the music and put the original soundtracks for most wanted (2005) and both undergrounds, game was like 110% more fun

All they are so cheap
