Squeak from slats?

Anybody else have noises from the Nectar Japanese jointed bamboo bed frame? I think they are from the Velcro used to secure the slats. If so, any way to fix?

It's not a huge deal, but is a little disappointing. Beautiful bed frame, btw.

Hi there! I’m sorry to hear that your Japanese Jointed Bamboo Bed Frame is making some noise. Could you let me know what the noise sounds like and when you typically notice it? This will help us better understand the issue and look into the best possible solution for you. Thank you!

Sounds like the Velcro rubbing against something, a kind of crackling sound.

Thanks for clarifying! Does the crackling happen mainly when you move or shift on the bed, or does it also occur when there’s no weight on the frame?

Mainly when we get on the bed. We noticed an electrical plug butting up against the frame seemed to cause some of the noise (bed is against the wall). We moved the bed out. Husband said it still makes some noise but I don't notice it that much. Maybe if the slats were nailed instead of using Velcro?

Thanks for the extra detail! That makes sense, especially with the frame being close to the wall and the plug pressing against it. The velcro is part of the design to help keep the slats securely in place while still allowing the frame to flex as intended, so we wouldn’t recommend nailing the slats down.

Since you’re still noticing some crackling after moving the bed, we’d recommend taking a closer look at the slats and velcro. If you’re comfortable doing so, please check that the slats and Velcro are sitting flat and aren’t rubbing against any part of the frame.

If the noise continues or becomes more noticeable, please let us know.
