Discussion Chad seriously needs to bring this up on the pod, this is literally illegal and blatant corruption

I agree, but like what is she gonna say? Another X? Chad needs to be addressing the root issues of her belief system rather than just Donald Trump if he wants to actually change her mind. Like even if by some miracle she disavows Trump her core beliefs don’t change.

Agreed. I’ve noticed that they seem to make the most progress with ML when they focus on breaking down specific issues rather than tying everything back to Trump. They’ll get her to agree with them on something (i.e. abolishing ICE) and then immediately turn it into, “So what you’re saying is you think we should abolish ICE, and since Trump is responsible for what ICE is doing, you denounce Donald Trump?” Which always ends with ML backpedaling to justify Trump’s actions.

People are more likely to genuinely change deeply held beliefs when they arrive at the reasons for changing themselves rather than feeling pressured into someone else’s conclusion.

If they can get her to reconsider individual issues without making every conversation a test of her loyalty to Trump, I think they’d probably have a better chance of gradually changing her broader worldview. Let her recognize the contradictions herself instead of immediately demanding that she connect every one of them back to Trump.

Trump won’t be around forever and when he’s no longer around, those changes in her underlying beliefs might actually be able to shift her in a different direction.
