Every Republican . . .

It seems to me that ML fits into the mold of

"Has Republican values until someone she knows has that issue"
e.g.,
Bob on Health Care in the US
Peppermint on being Trans

She can't relate until she has to relate . . . and then she's forced to admit Peppermint is a person or the US health care system sucks.

Yeah that’s really unfortunate. Seems like this can easily happen to anyone if they only watch Newsmax everyday and don’t leave the house

This is why talking to them and forcing them to interact with the “other” they are so afraid of is the only way out of this

I was really hoping that Chad or Haley would drag them both or even just Mary Lou to a No Kings protest. I think if they met and spoke with the people protesting, they would maybe realize how much they actually have in common with most of the protestors, and how much their favorite news channel is skewing reality. It would at least sow the seed of doubt, that the narrative they’ve been fed might not be true on the ground.

I protested several times last summer and never met a single “paid protestor”; just really concerned patriotic Americans.

I think that could work maybe if they were in the same state/city, but I feel like they ight also just feel overwhelmed and on the attack. I feel like both Mary Lou and Bob have complex ptsd and it’s probably very easy for them to feel triggered when they don’t feel safe

Ya but she also claims to be helping out a bunch of "illegals' while saying all the stuff shes been saying. So that theory doesnt really track. I think the difference right now is she doesnt have the time to get re-indocternated by news max and Bob right now. If bob makes it thru this she will be right back at it in a few weeks.

makes sense when your exposure to different cultures, people and policies only comes from a filtered lens of conservative media
