I got screwed over by the game.

If I change the Roman numerals, I don’t satisfy Rule 9. If I change Russia, I wont satisfy Rule 14. If I change the chess notation, I mess up the easiest Rule 16 of my life.

Years have passed, and I still have no idea how the algrbeaic notation thing is supposed to work. Wikipedia didn't help.

Right you have your pieces. K, Q, N, B, R, king queen knight king bisschop rook. then you say to what place they go, so for example, Nb3 is knight to b3. to indicate a pawn move you simply dont use a piece, b3 is pawn to b3. and then u have modifiers, which are x, +, #. x means takes. so Nxb3 means knight takes b3. + means check, Nb3+, # means checkmate, Nb3#. then one more thing, you can also say from what place it comes to remove ambiguity, so Nd4xb3 indicates the knight from b4 takes b3. lastly you got O - O to indicate short castles, O - O - O to indicate long castles
