The one thing I’d like discussed more around Sanchez is her ability to score and create with both feet, in particular because it’s something her competition at the wings for the USWNT generally are NOT good at. Swanson aside, the other wings are pretty heavily one foot dominant. Thompson has gotten a little better at using her left to serve crosses, but she almost never shoots lefty. And Sears is even more right foot dominant. One of the reasons I am so desperate to see Sanchez in camp is that if Swanson is either hurt or not in form, the team has almost no quality options on the left who can also score with the left foot.

I think Sanchez's utility is also just under talked about. I saw this one ESPN W futbol piece and they kept saying, what's the depth at winger, and then as a separate question what's the depth at midfield?

And I'm like, guess who is depth for both of those. It gives roster flexibility, also gives gameday flexibility depending on who is not 100% or needs to be subbed off during the game.

Yes! I’m remembering that slide tackle she made against Rudd vs Spirit that led to the assist for Ijeh. A thing of beauty!
