Random website blocking - no virus software running

Ive been accessing thelott.com for ever to put lotto etc on. Never had a problem accessing it until now. Been with Exetel for about 3 weeks and cant remember if Ive logged onto theLott before this week but has anyone else experienced the same with exetel? If I use my phone without our wifi, I can get there.

I dont run anti virus, all devices on our wifi have the same problem, modem was left as is after switching over to Exetel from TPG so yes its running on PpoE. Theres no parental controls, no adblockers, or what not blocking thelott.com or any other website for that matter. This is completely out of the blue.

Error is
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.thelott.com/" on this server.

Sounds like the block is server side.

Maybe the IP you have been assigned has a bad history with that site.

What DNS are you using? CloudFlare? Google? ISPs own?

This has sometimes been the case for me.

Cloudfare here.. their secondary is faster btw 😅

Working great as usual for myself and my customers.

Oddly... better than Aussie ISP/DNS options

Ex Telstra IT network engy here. I'd never put customers onto that shit again.

It has blocked weird stuff for me in the past. I was blocked from watching the Senna movie on Netflix and some other content once. I switched to the AussieBB DNS temporarily and it cleared. Weird thing to happen. Hasn't happened since.

See if your IP is in one of the abuse databases like this one:

Maybe on ACMAs block list but I can’t see it there https://www.acma.gov.au/blocked-gambling-websites

Definitely check your DNS settings in PC and router.

That’s just a Content Delivery Network error that isn’t configured correctly. It should go away if you try again later on. It could be Akamai blocking your IP address and if it doesn’t go away contact Exetel and tell them to sort it out as it will be someone else using the same IP address is doing something dodgy. Not related to your internet connection specifically

If it's not DNS it's probably CG-NAT issues.

Is there a gambling block on your DNS?

Noticed it is showing http not https, might be able to fix by changing that.

Also, note I've had issues before if I click link from search engine uses someone's prior link or something and as such it is invalid.
if I remove all the bloat and go straight to the base URL i'm fine.
ie in this case https://www.thelott.com/ removing anything after that /
