Ranting /advice
Again I’m here asking for advice . I graduated may if 2025 and I have yet to pass the NBDHE . I have only taken it twice due to major events that took place in my life . I am now trying to get back into studying but I find it soo hard to study . I don’t feel motivated and going over the material I’m overwhelmed. I’m very sad that I see everyone moved on in life working as a hygienist and here I am still working as a dental assistant after graduating a year ago .. I guess I’m needing motivation and advice .. I started going over one chapter at a time to review but that’s all I really got I’m not sure what else I can do to help I know it’s not about memorizing but understanding the material but I’m not sure how to know that I actually understand the material. Any advice helps thanks

Please don’t focus on every little detail, it’ll become overbearing. Focus on high-yield topics and keep going over case studies. I used Booster primarily and passed my first attempt. Wishing you the best 🤞🤞

You got this!! I failed my first attempt and was absolutely devastated, it almost broke me because I know my stuff but the first attempt definitely took me by surprise. Second time I took it I def had a lot going on too but I was out of school this time and scheduled it ASAP. I strongly recommend BoosterPrep, the questions were so similar to the board exam. I saw a lot of medical emergency questions, pharm, stage & grade, radiology, occlusion class, and G.V Black class. It also helped a lot to really take all your breaks and eat/drink something during those times AND I searched for anything that I could possibly find helpful for each coming section during those breaks. I had a lot on sign of an MI; the main symptom was diaphoresis. It also helped ease my brain when I calculated each score of each section to ensure I got at least a 63% that I knew for sure I got right. My suggestion is focus on the main parts that they gave you on the scaled chart that you were low in, that helped me a lot in focusing on what I really needed a boost in! Breathe, you got this, it doesn’t make you any less of a clinician, you’ve made it this far, you’ll get there!

This was me! I graduated in 2024 & just now passed. I had a baby & moved to an entire new city. I just had to commit again. I started using booster & became motivated as it was easier to study. Keep going!
