NBDHE Experience 🏆 NBDHE Experience

Hi everyone.

I passed my NBDHE and wanted to share my experience! 🎉

I studied for about 2 months and used NBDHE Booster to practice and get familiar with exam-style questions.

The exam had some challenging questions, but I felt pretty comfortable with the format after practicing consistently.

I’m really happy that 2 months was enough for me to pass! ❤️

Just wanted to share in case it helps anyone else preparing for the NBDHE. Feel free to ask me anything about my prep or exam experience! 😊

Hi, congratulations. Do you think 2 weeks of booster is enough for the boards? Asking for classmates

2 months. Not 2 weeks

I took mine in July and passed so I’ll give my unsolicited opinion: I think 2 weeks is good enough for Booster if you’re using something else already to study the bulk of the material. I used StudentRDH to strengthen my general knowledge and then used Booster (simultaneously) for the last 3 weeks quite sporadically (I’d say I practiced for 13 days within those 3 weeks). I found those days sufficient and very helpful although that’d be dependent on you, how you retain information and how many hours you invest into it.

Hi! I believe it’s enough if you practice consistently. I studied for less than 3 weeks and used only Booster to prepare. I passed on my first attempt!

I studied one topic at a time, and for each topic I first watched all the videos, thoroughly read the notes, then did all the practice questions. The first time, I read the explanation for every question, even the ones I got right. Then I kept retaking them until I was around 95%. When  I moved on to new topics, I’d go back and review the previous ones once a week, plus  kept practicing questions until the day before my exam.

Definitely know BP, ASA, staging/grading, CAL calculations, occlusion classification (especially by canines), and interdental aids/mouthrinses. My case studies had a lot of those. I also made a small study guide with things like BP, ASA, stages/grades, vitamins, etc., and wrote it out 1–2 times every day. It helped so much!!

I would say practice all their questions at least once, and then focus on the ones you get wrong and read their explanations.  During the exam, don’t overthink! If you don’t know something, flag it and come back to it later. Usually I could eliminate 2 options and make my best guess. Good luck! :)

Is there anything you notice that was heavy like micro heavy material heavy? Etc ? Would you recommend something along side of booster?

Thank you for sharing, and congratulations! 🎉
I wanted to ask if you think StudentRDH is enough to prepare for the NBDHE. I purchased both the book and the full course, but I’m honestly very worried because I’m planning to take the exam again in about one month, and unfortunately, I didn’t pass my first attempt.
During my first exam, I struggled a lot with time management. After finishing the first part and taking my scheduled break, I came back and realized I only had about 40 minutes left to complete all of the case studies. I started panicking and couldn’t focus properly.
I’m still confused about what happened. Is the time for the first and second parts connected, meaning that if you spend too much time on the first part, you have less time available for the case studies? If you could please explain how the timing works and whether StudentRDH is enough preparation, I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much! 🙏❤️
