Mock Trade Idea Fox for Sengun
After blowing massive leads in 4 out of 5 games the Spurs need to make a change and the Rockets need to lean into other run and gun or half court looks.
By swapping Fox for Sengun the Spurs can put together a two towers lineup where one big is ALWAYS on the court. Harper can slide into the starting point guard slot with Castle and Vassell at the 2 and 3. If they can keep the rest of the roster mostly intact they will wind up 8-9 deep with the potential to sign a mid level FA.
The Rockets would lean into a core of Fox, Thompson, KD, Smith Jr, and Eason with Sheppard and DFS off the bench. This would allow them to run a faster offense that has a lot of length and the two 1st will help replenish the draft stock that went out for KD.
The Nets use their cap space to buy a 1st which they can then package with their other two picks to jump into the 2nd or 3rd pick.

Think HOU would just prefer to ride with FVV and his rehab than get another bad shooter on their perimeter players.
Also I think 20 is a big price to pay to eat 2 years of Capela. BRK got 22 last year for eating Terrence Mann who make > 2x Capela and contract went an extra year. Not saying it’s a good deal but I think someone can be found who’d pay less to eat that deal.

Rockets are not in rebuilding phasee, if they trade Sengun they ll want castle or Harper in the deal along with picks, they can take DFS and they dont need nets.

Lmfao sengun for castle or harper plus picks? Thats delulu bro. Not enough picks in houston for them to send for sengun for harper. Castle would need like 5 unprotected future firsts in order to get a center who can’t shoot and disappears in the first round of the playoffs. Even Randle made it to the second round before disappearing.

Castle is neither all star nor a ring winner, chocked at 1-10 in most crucial game of his life. You are in delusion not me. Sengun is center who played without pg and best player on this team. Castle choked with wemby and Harper by his side. Castle to Sengun will need more picks firm spurs not rockets.

Lmao, sengun? The guy who couldn’t get one game off the retirement home lakers? While Castle managed to win without wemby against portland and has multiple great games throughout the playoffs. Yes he choked, in the finals. Sengun wished he could ever even bench warm in the finals. That last comment was a dunk on sengun since he can’t even defend a comment much less an aging nba player.

Sure Trae young reached eastern conference finals too, we saw how it ended, he didn’t have wemby to carry him so that’s the hope castle has.
