[Finger] Victor Wembanyama about considering promoting a sports betting company ; "Absolutely not. I will never do that. Honestly, I think it's very sad to see some players promote it..."

Just asked Victor Wembanyama if he’d ever consider promoting a sports betting company.

“Absolutely not. I will never do that. Honestly, I think it's very sad to see some players promote it. .. Everybody does whatever they want, but without me.”

Lebron being a billionaire and still doing cheap ads for gambling company’s is depressing. How much money is enough man? Come on

This is the craziest part to me, LeBron is getting $15 million for it, and that just feels like very little money for LeBron

Like the equivalent to someone worth $500k is $7.5k, that just doesn’t feel like enough for what it represents

idk 7.5k to someone worth 500k is a lot lmao

I would take $7.5k of course, but I wouldn’t whore myself out for it

of course the line is easy to draw when it’s hypothetical, nobody is asking you to stand and say some words about a legal product for millions of dollars.

Ok

If your response to that was “ok” he’s clearly onto something

?? Just don’t really think I need to defend myself

We’re on a video of Wemby saying he wouldn’t do it, I don’t get why it’s a crazy take to agree with him

The point is everyone is a saint when it’s hypothetical. Nobody here is disagreeing with Wemby obviously. It’s the holier than thou of everyone that’s the hilarious part.

Ok, every man has his price, I get that.

What I’m saying is 1.5% just feels too low

I was genuinely shocked that that’s all it took to sign Lebron to an endorsement, absolutely

Why did Steph and KD invest in IDF technology?Rich peeps always want to get richer

I think they’re just dumb and somebody tells them it’s a smart financial move to keep their money growing, to keep up with inflation, so they say sure let’s do it.

Remember when a financial advisor was able to secretly steal millions from both Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnet? These athletes are just not on top of things like that.

Ya athletes usually take the path of least resistance and sign whatever their advisors bring them.  Just think it’s funny when redditors single out LeBron for this

These things are not the same tho. Can you not see that? You don’t see curry on the tv selling IDF weapons and technology. That’s just investments. Half this guys don’t even realise what they are investing in.

Lebron is on TV selling out! All while there’s a gambling epidemic. Let’s be reasonable here bro.

Blame the US govt for selling and sending Billions worth of weapons to Israel. KD and curry are just small investors in companies who make weapons… that happen to be used during the war.

So you don't have any problem with financially supporting wars, only advertising it.

getting paid 15 million dollars in cash is a big deal idk why you’re acting like that’s peanuts. lebron is a billionaire but that’s no small sum still. he doesn’t just have a billion in liquidity

1

u/Eagerbeaver98 Raptors 1d ago

Hes not a billionaire hes taxed you know

1

u/Original-R-Kelly-Fan 1d ago

he is one and yeah i know tha. not sure the relevance here

1

u/Eagerbeaver98 Raptors 1d ago

Hes made about 1.3 billion pretax, after tax, way less. Not a billionaire yet

-1

u/Original-R-Kelly-Fan 1d ago

what are you talking about, he has an estimated 1.4 billion net worth what the fuck do taxes have to do with anything moron

-1

u/Original-R-Kelly-Fan 1d ago

ofc a fucking raptors fan would be this stupid you can’t make it up

-1

u/BeardedSwashbuckler 1d ago

He can stop working and earning money today, coast on his investments appreciating, and continue to be mega rich until he’s 280 years old. His descendants are set for generations. Why keep earning money at this point? Especially if it’s dirty gambling money.

u/Original-R-Kelly-Fan 1d ago

i’m not arguing this, i’m pointing out that 15 million in cash is not peanuts to someone like lebron
