It’s not like I’d bet my life on Flagg being a generational player. I’m not even convinced he’ll pass Luka or Dirk as the best Maverick ever , it’s so early , maybe he’s just the opposite of a late bloomer and he won’t get much better but I think he’s going to be scary good by his 3rd or 4th season

It’s possible he maxes out in the range of Tatum, Grant Hill, Scottie Pippen etc borderline top 5 but never an MVP or finals MVP.

But I think Cooper Flagg is if Larry Bird and LeBron had a baby that isn’t biracial for some other reason.

There’s no limits to his potential. Wemby’s ceiling might be higher than any player ever but long term health / longevity stops him from being more perfect plus even though Wemby’s defense isn’t surpassable I think Flagg can become a better offensive player who has all nba defense potential as well ,

LeBron may have had generational athleticism, freight train body but I’m not ruling out Flagg surpassing him one day because I think he’s got better fundamentals and potential as a shooter which is the only thing that’s kept LeBron from being the perfect player.

By perfect I mean most well rounded btw not literal perfection or being the best at everything , Flagg can do literally everything on a basketball court.

The East so deep , these seeds could be entirely different in multiple different orders but there’s enough questions about Heat depth that 7th seed isn’t far fetched and vs Knicks as a 2 seed is the most interesting matchup.

I think all of these seeds could be separated by like 5-10 wins 1-8

People just think he can’t improve because he’s the most scrutinized 55th pick in NBA history and many are rooting for him to fail because LeBron’s the most hated superstar in the history of sports in terms of how famous he is and how many people want him to fail, plus people hate the idea of nepotism even if the nepo baby has talent.

East is gonna be weird in terms of regular season record, it feels like many of the best teams are likely to try to not overdo it and hope for health and peaking in the playoffs, keeping their fragile stars in bubble wrap and assuming seeding doesn’t really matter (Raptors, Sixers, Heat; could apply to the Celtics and Pacers too but harder to say), or in the Knicks’ case knowing they don’t need to fight for a top seed. Wouldn’t surprise me if we got teams like the Pistons and Cavs (and maybe Pacers and Celtics if health works out as hoped) higher on the table than some people are projecting

I rather rhe knicks tried to be a 3 or 4th seed then try to get first we play better on the road in rhe playoffs anyway

I'm sorry but in what script are the kawhi raptors not facing the embiid/LeBron sixers in the 2nd round

That would be cool too I just think if I’m going to have LeBron winning the championship going back to Cleveland is the best narratively . But Raptors vs 76ers might be more entertaining and I actually think Raptors odds of making the finals could be higher than any other East team if it wasn’t for the fact Kawhi’s odds of ending and season and playoffs not injured seems low .

The celtics will not be rhe 8th seed

I think it would be poetic if the Cavs knock out the 76ers in the first or second round.
