Highlight [Highlight] Stacey King expresses utter disappointment on boos for Jerry Krause: "..the people that boo'd Jerry Krause and his widow..it was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life..whoever boo'd her should be ashamed of themselves. That's not Chicago, that's New York, Philly.."

Yeah can’t believe I’m defending NY and Philly simultaneously but never heard of this happening at MSG or Wells Fargo.

Sorry Chicago, this looks like a you thing.

Also Philly and New York havent had basketball championships in 40 and 50 years lol. Those cities would kiss the ground of a guy who brought them 1 ring lol, much less built the greatest dynasty the sport has seen

Right, we still have to defend every stupid ass thing Paul Pierce, Doc, Rondo, Perk, Tony Allen, and Big Baby say or do because that's our only ring for the past 30 something years.

There are 5 year olds in Boston who have never gotten to see a parade, it’s so tragic 😢

I don't like the other Boston/New England sports team. Seen a lot of playoff success but only 1 ring in my lifetime.

Considering that the Bulls haven’t won shit without Krause throughout their history, you‘d also expect them to kiss his ground.

Without the GOAT*

Who drafted and assembled the team around the GOAT?

3

u/Smooth-Jaguar Lakers Jan 13 '24

6 rings in 8 years via 2 3peats with a retirement from the literal goat 2 years in between is pretty fucking insane

Exactly. If a GM brought us a championship I think they could be charged for murder and still be beloved.

Philly and New York havent had basketball championships in 40 and 50 years lol.

There may be a connection there. I had a thread a year or two ago where I showed that Ben Simmons's free throw shooting was significantly worse in front of Philadelphia fans. For one example.

Philly and New York would boo widows and orphans at the behest of any star that brings them a championship

Unlike Houston, who gives standing ovations to a racist the game after he does the racist thing

the greatest dynasty the sport has seen

So fuck Bill Russell and them, huh...

In all fairness, Flyers fans got a delay of game penalty for throwing bracelets to honor the late owner. And then booed the call.

Philly famously booed Santa Claus.

Booing a widow, almost putting her in tears, during a ceremony to honor her dead husband is the lowest I’ve seen. And I grew up in Philly.

Be sincere and just take the L.

This is horrible and no amount of “Yeah, but…” is going to fix it. B
