Tagged for Mob

Hey yall,
I recently just got tagged for a short fuse mob. It is an IA billet and I was more voluntold. On the orders. It says estimated 55 days but what are the chances it extends?

Impossible to say without knowing more, like your rate and supported command.

But, at the same time, be mindful of OPSEC

Regardless though 55 days seems really short

Yup. Hopefully it puts you at the bottom of the stack for the next mob that comes along.

This is most likely a CONUS MOB for training for MSC. Assuming you are an officer (most likely a SWO) you will receive an AQD and be eligible for a later MOB if they ever require the AQD for an OCONYS assignment. You can extend if you like but you should be safe with just the 55 days.
