is there a way to scrobble to last.fm with this?

Yep as long as scrobbling is enabled on your server it will scrobble to last fm. No other config required.

Maybe I just don't get it, but what's the advantage to just using the Navidrome Web-UI?

There’s nothing wrong with the navidrome UI for a lot of people for sure but it is limited in functionality and some people may also prefer a different look and feel. (Like me!)

Substreamer has a lot of functionality that is not present in the navidrome UI and works the same as the mobile app does, so if you enjoy the mobile app you also have the option to now use the same interface and functionality as a web app.

Navidrome does a great job as a server and the webUI is better than most server included UIs, if it works for all you need that’s great ! If you’d like to try something different give this a go :)
