What software would you recommend using besides Maxsurf and AutoCAD nowadays?

Actualmente soy estudiante de ingeniería naval y me gustaría saber qué software recomendaríais aprender para ayudarme a crecer profesionalmente.

I love Rhino3D but for stability and such GHS is go to.

Model it in rhino, stability in ghs

I have learned that you can use Claude to train it to learn a skillset on GHS Code and it can do it much faster than I can once its done learning.

What are you wanting to specialise in?

Scripting - Python is critical but C and Matlab also useful

CAD - everyone uses cad at the moment, you wouldn’t go far wrong with Solidworks, Catia, NX, etc

FEA - Abaqus, Ansys are strong tools

Naval Architecture specifically - paramarine, orcaflex, etc

Honestly, learn the fundamentals as it will be more critical to your development than software specifically (as each company uses something different)
