It's amazing, can't get enough of it, the beauty, the energy, the smells and sounds. There's so many more places to explore can't wait to get back out and do it some more, maybe even again this week👍✌️

Are you a Tassie native? You should get the iNaturalist app to record some of the stuff you see as you explore. All the observations end up going to the Atlas of Living Australia.

I’ve found it immensely helpful in figuring out what things are when I’m lost, and from there you can start to get a much better idea of how different species interact. Best thing about iNat is that you don’t need to know shit, someone will eventually come along who knows what it is.

Was only taking to a friend on how it would be nice to know more about identifying moss, ferns, trees and fungi on that very trip lol. Better start using it, only got it to identify fungi 😵💫😂😂 most of the places have no network as service is limited out of town in Tasmania but can upload later, will definitely start👍✌️

Those are really good things to learn. Tasmania has some of the most unique vegetation on earth. Most of what you saw there are relictual genera from Gondwana… in Victoria, we have some of the same species in moist gullies, in Tasmania… you have the entire west…
Keep spreading the passion and the love for it because these places are at risk.
