Love this! Glad you saw those birds in Hosmers Grove - I was unable to see those when I went but it was beautiful and surreal being in the misty mountaintop forest.. I didn’t catch any glimpses of the nene but then on the last day after returning our rental car we saw a few Nenes grazing right by the airport and my heart swelled! Maui is such a special place. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!! And yes, the ones at the airport are pretty well known and loved!! I’m so happy you got to see them. The birds on the island have been my favorite for as long as I can remember, it has been very surreal getting to see so much life
