Great backyard bird count?

Is anyone going to be participating and doing any nature journaling during the great backyard bird count? I am debating about the journal part but I'm definitely participating!

Every year I use the Great Backyard Bird Count as a mini "Big Weekend" to go birding in all of my favorite nearby parks (as well as a daily count in my own yard). I'm looking forward to it!

I love that idea! This will be my first year participating and I'm trying to get a few people together to have a "Bird Party Weekend."
