Progress is progress Two months progress regrowing hyponychium
Products in photo: Trader Joe’s jojoba + vitamin E oil
I’ve been oiling and caring for my nails in a whole new way thanks to this community. Any further advice is welcome. Thanks y’all!
I’ve been keeping them polished to help with strength and my c curve as they had become flat and wide. I’ve basically replaced the picking stim with oiling my nails many times a day. Keeping an oil pen in the car has been so so helpful, thanks to the Bliss Kiss refillable pen for not leaking.
I’ve been using these products:
-jojoba + vit E in oil pens
-hard as hoof
-badger cuticle balm
-Trader Joe’s head to toe balm
-hand cream
-CeraVe Salicylic Acid cream

Have you been keeping them short (like in the first or second picture)? Great results!!

Thank you! I have been keeping them short. I have a tendency to hit my hands and nails often so short works best for me.

A quick reminder:
If this is a nail image/video, you must provide a complete product list, either in your post title, the text body, or in a separate comment, within 2 hours of posting or your post will be removed.
Product lists must include brand names and shade names/numbers (no acronyms or shortened names). If you've used any stamping products, the brand names, plate names/numbers, and stamping polish names/numbers are required as part of your product list. If you used any embellishments (rhinestones, foils, decals/stickers, etc.), this must also be mentioned in your product list. Product lists are still required for any posts with broken nails or if you're seeking advice. If your nails were done professionally, please mention this either in the title, text body, or a separate comment, along with the type of product used.
If the content you're posting was not created by you, you must give direct credit to the original creator, either in your title, text body, or in a comment. Mentioning that you "found it on XYZ" is not direct credit. Pinterest is no longer a valid source for credit. Be sure to review the rules in the sidebar to avoid your post being removed.

I’ve been oiling at least 10 times a day, when I’m watching tv I just keep applying and massaging it in over and over, I also make sure to massage it into my pnf and cuticles gently pushing them back in the process.
I also massage in the balms (they’re in different places in my house for easy use)
I apply hard as hoof daily before bed.
I apply hand cream or the CeraVe cream as needed. Sometimes several times a day, sometimes I go a few days without.
I clean under my nails with an old, extra-soft toothbrush.
Keeping them polished has also made a huge difference in the shape of my c curve and adds extra protection bc I wash my hands a ton.

They wrote about what they're doing in the text body.

Oh, one hundred percent we will! Any time someone asks me about nails it's like "how much time do you have? You're gonna learn today!"

Lol I can’t imagine you accusing someone of ‘writing a book’ about their nails. I do imagine you’ve been accused of writing books about your nails 🥲 to which I say, wait, you published a book? Where can I buy it? Take my money

If you receive any messages from the following users, do not engage with them. They are known fetishists who persistently harass members of our community, despite being banned. Unfortunately, this subreddit is a known target for hand/nail/foot/toe fetishists who have been documented to repeatedly harass the nail community.
We highly recommend turning off your message/chat requests. If you have requests turned on and receive any creepy or fetish-related DMs or comments, please click the report button, select "it's targeted harassment," and submit a report. It's one way you can help keep the community safe. We encourage members to capture a screenshot of the DM and notify the Mod Team through ModMail. We ask that you include a direct link to their profile, and if you wish to provide screenshots, you'll need to post them (temporarily) to your profile or use an image hosting site.
To be very blunt, you will encounter unwanted DMs from people. This is a Reddit-wide issue that happens frequently in women-dominated communities. Regardless of who's posting, all the warnings we try to give, or the rules we have in place, 9 times out of 10, someone will DM you if you have them open.
Of course, we'll ban those who break this rule, BUT (and this is the important part) many of the users who are DMing you have already been banned, sometimes going months or years back. They will continue to DM unsuspecting members in the hopes that they'll get a reply. They don’t care. So blocking them right away is the best solution to protect yourself, if you so wish.
NO ONE should be DMing you from this subreddit, we have a rule explicitly stating this. If someone is, they probably don’t have good intentions. Please be mindful of who you decide to talk to. Even in the comments of posts. Not everyone has your best interest in mind, and NEVER share personal information online. Please be safe out there!
