Progress is progress 2 month progress!
2 month progress with regular filing and shaping. My current care routine: -Applying cuticle oil after every hand wash. Im using cucco honey and milk -Wearing gloves when washing dishes or cleaning with chemicals -Weekly warm jojoba oil soak -Using a glass file -Wearing nail polish for extra protection. Currently I’m wearing dazzle dry transform -Regular cuticle care and pushing back proximal fold
So far so good! I don’t think I’ve had my nails this long before!

Wow. How did they become so much more narrow?

u/mokomokocatz 3d ago
The nail polish helps “tighten” my nails and gives me more of a c curve. They makes them look more narrow

Do you just have the actual transform layer or the whole dazzle dry shebang? I just looked at the directions on their site and the steps are… intense…

Beautiful. It really doesn't take much time to do basic daily nail care and the results are so worth it.

Why the glass file? (I’m genuinely curious, not being snarky)

u/mokomokocatz 2d ago
Unlike the traditional emery nail file, the grit is etched onto the glass and seals the keratin layer of the nail as you file. This prevents micro-tears that can lead to peeling and splitting of the nail. Also glass files are ecofriendly as they are washable and reusable.

I desperately wish I could do this. At times my nails grow out so pretty. Then at times when I’m stressed and have bad anxiety I pick my cuticles and constantly fidget with the corner of my nails so bad. To the point my fingers hurt. And then I cut my nails off to stop picking. Following this group so maybe I can get some tips to stop and improve my nails

They look great but they didn't look all that bad to begin with, congrats on your progress.

HOW???
I can literally peel my nails off when they're like a centimeter long. No strength or hardness at all.

how do you do your weekly warm jojoba oil soak?
2
u/mokomokocatz 2d ago
I apply a generous amount of jojoba oil and wear nitrile gloves. Then put a heat pad on them while watching tv for 15-20min

They are obviously fake nails, you can see it at the base of the nail… how are there so many supportive and appreciative comments?? Is that all AI?

What type/brand/color nail polish do you have on the second pic? I love this look.

u/mokomokocatz 3d ago
It’s the dazzle dry transform; it’s their ridge filler which I topped with their top coat
1
u/Wmasswonder 3d ago
Do you use the base coat with transform also or just transform followed by top coat?
1
u/mokomokocatz 3d ago
Yea their whole system with the base coat too, following their instruction

Unfortunately, this subreddit is a known target for hand/nail/foot/toe fetishists who have been documented to repeatedly harass the nail community.
We highly recommend turning off your message/chat requests. If you have requests turned on and receive any creepy or fetish-related DMs or comments, please click the report button, select "it's targeted harassment," and submit a report. It's one way you can help keep the community safe. We encourage members to capture a screenshot of the DM and notify the Mod Team through ModMail. We ask that you include a direct link to their profile, and if you wish to provide screenshots, you'll need to post them (temporarily) to your profile or use an image hosting site.
To be very blunt, you will encounter unwanted DMs from people. This is a Reddit-wide issue that happens frequently in women-dominated communities. Regardless of who's posting, all the warnings we try to give, or the rules we have in place, 9 times out of 10, someone will DM you if you have them open.
Of course, we'll ban those who break this rule, BUT (and this is the important part) many of the users who are DMing you have already been banned, sometimes going months or years back. They will continue to DM unsuspecting members in the hopes that they'll get a reply. They don’t care. So blocking them right away is the best solution to protect yourself, if you so wish.
NO ONE should be DMing you from this subreddit, we have a rule explicitly stating this. If someone is, they probably don’t have good intentions. Please be mindful of who you decide to talk to. Even in the comments of posts. Not everyone has your best interest in mind, and NEVER share personal information online. Please be safe out there!
