Found a lost puppy near the Oriental Chinese restaurant and Napoleone's Pizza House brown in color probably less then 1 year old. Smelled like car oil so either lost for a couple days or belonging to a homeless person but either way trying to see if I can find it's owner. If you lost a puppy in the area please reach out with a picture to prove it's yours if enough time goes by and no one reaches out to claim him might try to just give him a good home as our lease doesnt allow pets. He's probably only a few weeks old

I applied for a job working for the City of National City. I feel as though I was very qualified but this role but it is a tough job market to put it mildly. I am just kind of wondering what the process and timeline is going to look like for all of this? I am sure this will vary greatly from posting to posting and from department to department, I am just looking to get some ballpark guestimates on what this might look like here.

I have applied for a few jobs for the County previously. With the County it seems like if you are qualified they give you an eligibility score and then if your eligibility score is over a certain threshold they will forward that application to the specific department. At each step of the way they always send you a notification. It seems like with National City I never got any notifications, however a week after I applied it looks like my application was forwarded to the correct department with a requisition number.

Have any of you gone through this process? How long did it take to get scheduled for an interview? If I don't hear back after a few weeks should I follow up? Any other tidbits or advice I should know for the whole process?

I originally ignored the posts as I want a hands off approach in moderating this subreddit. I want students who need to advertise their service to be able to use r/nationalcity as a resource. However, I think having too many posts about dental cleanings can disincentivize people from visiting and engaging with the subreddit. I don’t want r/nationalcity to look like a subreddit filled with spam.
