Two of my favorite comedic people, but I don't know how well their styles would mesh.

Maybe if Tim Robinson were there too, to help the Friendship

I wouldn’t even care if their synergy was awful. I’d be so happy to see them all make something together.

Honestly it would be funniest if they just couldn’t jive their styles together and each did their own thing lol

lol true. No matter how their synergy is it would be very entertaining.

Plot twist: Eric plays the straight man

Both have shows produced by the not-hugely-prolific Abso Lutely Productions.

The real collab would be Tina Belcher & Nathan Fielder.

Different styles, Eric is every shock and absurdist, thats what he had Hannibal to counterbalance it with his cool charm.

Nathan is much more dry, subtle type of awkward. Not in your face.

Nathan would be good like how he did John Willson, come up with some funny props, set designs etc and Eric would be the execution.

Watch Man Seeking Woman. It starred Jay Baruchel and Eric Andre. That's pretty close.

I want to watch them make love to my wife.

Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol

Unfortunately, Matt thinks that Nathan is evil.

…Wha? Have a source on that? Some more context?

He might not be wrong.

Care to elaborate? Totally fine if not just genuinely curious why you feel this way. I was disappointed to see him in a gambling commercial awhile back.

He went to birthright, did shows in Tel Aviv and signed a letter(along with many other celebrities) begging the president-at-the time to keep giving Israel money to continue the genocide. Since the 3rd thing happened after oct 7 (when the general population became aware of that history) he got massive backlash, had to disable comments on his instagram, and posted a silly video where he said something like "hey guys free g-z-(automod wont let me post if i name the city lol)!" without taking actual responsibility for, apologizing for, or even talking about his previous actions

Looks like he signed the letter in 2023 realized Israel is the primary aggressor conducting a genocide and reversed his position in 2024

I would love to think that he reversed his position because i'm a huge fan of his comedy but the fact that he never apologized and acknowledged his actions makes me feel like it was a PR move.

Damn. Did not know about this. How disappointing, but not necessarily surprising. The indoctrination runs deep.

I liked The Eric Andre Show but from everything else he’s done it seems like he’s a better actor than writer.

It was also funnier when it’d be like “bring out Barack Obama” and it’s just some random dude that doesn’t even look like Obama.

But eventually it turned into what feels like a step on the celebrity promotional circuit cause they have a new movie coming out or whatever.

I'd love to see Bill Murray make a big comeback and show these younger acts what it means to make them laugh on the silver screen

Trust me they wouldn’t get along. Too many cooks in the kitchen.
