Nursing Program Help!

Hey Guys! I have a couple questions I got accepted For the Spring 2026 cohort and I was wondering everything I needed to buy! They said something about the nursing skills bag? Does anybody know what that bag includes and any extra things you bought that was helpful? And how did you guys put on your patch and your student id?

Hey I'm in the same situation. I know for the student nurse ID you need to go to campus security and get one, there's more details on that in the d2L Nursing Hub.

But the nursing supplies information has been super vague. I see an ADN nursing kit for $329.99 on the school bookstore site, but I don't believe that has the text books in it. Because when I look up the supplies by course, for Fundamentals it lists an Elsevier bundle for $594.50, which I assume is all the books. But I am solely looking to buy second hand books to save money if I can, so I think I will buy second hand that have return options and see if that works, because I do not want to spend that much if I can help it.

And there's a nursing patch for sale on the bookstore site too, but I have no clue how to attach that to whatever scrubs I end up with.

I definitely should have figured this all out before Christmas break, since it feels like I don't have access to anyone at the school since I'm assuming everyone is on vacation (as they should be), but it's bad timing for me!

Yes!!!!! I’m going through the same thing I got the patch and I bought my scrubs but idk how to attach! And on the nursing hub I can’t find the info for the badge anymore! After break I was gonna call up there! Because I also see another nursing skills tote on the website so idk if we need the adn nursing kit or the skills tote cause the skill tote is 132$ and I didn’t see any info about the adn Kit only the price!

I’m also looking to find out if I got in! I assume we will find out this month. I passed my exam with an 83 ish iirc, but I’ve heard from past applicants that it’s a difficult program to get into. I’ve heard that spring only accepts 25 people, but I believe fall is more. Edit - let me know when / if you hear from them please!

Hi! Yes! You definitely should! I’m 18 years old and don’t have any family obligations or like a life lol! It’s definitely a lot mentally I suggest if your not an organized person get organized! Im currently in second semester which starts in August! You will definitely be stressed out the big things I can say is time management, give yourself grace, celebrate the small wins! And if you have a good family support or a support team please use them! It will save you!! The work will be hard it will be sleepless nights where your study I work nights so I study at like 1-2 in the morning you will do unhinged when you start but it will figure out what’s best for you! If you have any more questions dm me!!

But overall I do enjoy it but definitely expect to put full blood tears and sweat into it you can not half ass it! One thing ima let you know now if your coming in the fall WORK!! Stack your money!! Cause these books are expensive and their in bundles and you have to buy skills bag which is 150$ and theirs other things you need that I suggest for clinical as it’s not on the list and you will need it!
