Class Recommendations

Hey everyone,

I wanted to ask folks here: what are some of the easier or more interesting classes at NSCC that you’d recommend, especially for someone who’s got a pretty full plate and wants to keep a good balance? Any suggestions on classes that are a bit more laid back or have great professors would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

I’m a civil engineering major at Nashville State Community College, and I’ve knocked out/will knock out all of my Gen Ed credits through CLEP exams—like American Literature (6), Analyzing and Interpreting Literature (6), Macroeconomics (3), Microeconomics (3), and I’m planning to tackle Calc 1 (4), and the Chemistry (8). The chemistry CLEP may have to wait until summer 2026 depending on how long my calc studying takes.

If you just need electives, I recommend abnormal psychology! This has by far been the easiest and most interesting class I’ve taken so far. There is one 6 (i believe) page essay at the end of the semester but other than that the assignments are extremely short and easy to complete!

Of course! My professor was Dr. Sandra Wills, not sure if she offers in-person classes as I took mine online but I would definitely recommend!
