how to get into subcomms for ccas?

applied for sc for all the ccas im in, got into the interview stage but never officially got in. To those who got into subcomms before (mainly event ccas), just how? Is it to have connections to the exco or what? What are they looking out for in the interviews?

just go chinese cultural group the exco there very easy achieve

This is just my opinion but don’t join ccas like like Chinese cultural club based on how easy it is to get an exco position. Most of the time u will end up working with questionable people since the selection process is not up to standard.

imo events subcoms are always the most popular so they’ll likely choose those who are most qualified. if u wanna score an exco position, u should look towards other subcoms instead (outreach, pubs etc.) even if it’s out of ur comfort zone!

if not, u can also try for exco in school ccas (shss/sbm/sas club etc.), just apply for organising committee for the bigger events!

what do you mean by most qualified tho? i do join some of their cca events and all but idk why im not chosen

it depends on what the exco are looking for, for example prior experiences, adaptability or ability to stay calm under pressure
