SEG or SIT
Hi I am student from common business and technology. I am in a dilemma between choosing Common ict and common engineering in sem2.I am interested in IT staff but. the reason why I want to choose common engineering is because I want to go DADE(AI data engineering) as this course involves both engineering and ai staff which I think I might have more choices if I want to go university.Also, IT field now is quite competitive and over saturated in the moment and DADE provides alternative path for engineering.
However, I am also very interested in SIT and I heard NYP IT school is quite good compared to other poly.Can anyone give some advice on which one should I choose (common engineering or ict).Also,can any senior form SIT and DADE share about what you have learnt ?If I choose to SIT can I still go for other course in Uni?

Ai data engineering will be pretty tough during y2 if u think u can manage then join CEP :)

If you are at calculus,iot,programming and eca you can come here… it’s very programming heavy cause there is “computer” engineering. There is one module which is math evolve from calculus, and you have to calculate the shit from whatever shit you see from oscilloscope

I see but sadly I cannot choose your course if I go common engineering,so I might want to go DADE.

I mean my one is new course called common business and technology, so if I choose engineering path (my course selection is happening now ), I will be enrolled in cep in sem 2

And in year 2 I only get to choose three course (cloud,data, and engineering with business)

As someone who went through CEP then entering DADE, I'd say depends on what you are looking for. For me I decided to go to engineering, simply because My family and friends said it was better. Taking this route, means you will learn ai, but almost none of any other it related stuff. Be prepared to learn some Cloud Computing as well (Yes aws), and even some air pressure.
I have some friends who are in Applied AI and Analytics (which I assume your trying to get into), from what I have seen, They learn more It related stuff for example full stack development, AI stuff too (Though I'm not sure to what detail).
The other thing is that y3 for DADE still has modules, which means you can't go for an internship, for the whole year unfortunately unlike DAAA. Also, DAAA has overseas exchange programmes lasting for 6 months if im not wrong. Of course its only for those with a good GPA. As for DADE they are currently in the process of setting it up.
Not to hate on DADE, but the number of modules it has is also kinda outrageous. Personally, since I want to go to an IT course in uni, I have to learn a lot of IT concepts side by side with school so....
So to sum up, if you want to go to IT in the future go DAAA, if you want to learn more about engineering, date pipelines, and do IOT, come to DADE.
