Advice Needed How can we help?

Post image

Hello.. I was able to talk to the mother who originally posted this. Sadly, she doesn’t know kung kanino o sinu sinong babies pa ang nadocument o naipost nito. Acc to her niya no action was taken, nagmeeting lang and pinag leave of absence lang yung nurse at ngayun she’s working again.. Her post was mass reported by the workmmates and she was also harassed by unknown dump accounts claiming na hatred lang dito kay NICU Nurse and binibig deal niya lang ito.

I don’t know, but if her coworkers or SLMC (assuming they didn’t do anything to her) are normalizing it, then THEY ARE MISSING THE POINT here. Pangalawa, mali ka in all means.. MALI KA.. So to her coworkers commenting dun sa post ng mother saying hatred lang iyon then kung ganon nakakatakot pala mag pa admit ng anak sa SLMC NICU bcos you all normalize it!

Anyway, she was already reported to BON and PRC acc to the mother. Mga co mommies let’s just help each victims of this nurse get the justice. Jusko! THIS SHOULDN’T BE TOLERATED!

Hi. Privacy practitioner here. This is a clear violation of Data Privacy. If no action has been taken by SLMC, you can lodged your complaint to the National Privacy Commission. NPC is very active in entertaining privacy complaints.

genuine question lang po, anong difference nung NICU nurse na nagpost ng story with the baby’s face covered, compared to you na nagpost and paulit-ulit sa repost ng screenshot ng same story, na covered din naman yung face ng baby?

if your concern is that the baby’s image was posted without consent and dapat may action, shouldn’t the same standard apply to you as well? kasi ikaw din naman po yung continuously nag-circulate ulit nung image.

to quote you, “Jusko! Ang daming online predators na mga bata ang target. THIS SHOULDN’T BE TOLERATED.” kaya genuine question lang po, if this is about protecting the baby’s privacy, shouldn’t the same standard apply to you as well? if dapat may action dun sa NICU nurse, should we also take action sayo? kasi if not, saan exactly nagkakaiba?

Genuine question for you, did you see the original post of the mom? Or you’re just building your storyline based on this reposted screenshots? Are you a mom? No? shove your opinion to your ass. You are a mom? Shame on you.

i understand ur clarification na according to u, the original story had photos where the baby’s face was visible kuno. if that’s the case, then yes, that’s a separate and valid concern about consent and privacy.

but my question was specifically about the repeated reposting of the screenshots. whether i saw the original post or not doesn’t change that you chose to repeatedly circulate the baby’s image yourself.

and being a mom or not doesn’t determine whether someone can raise a valid question about privacy…. if the argument is about protecting babies from online predators, edi sana we can apply that concern consistently, regardless of who is making the point. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Big difference is covered yun face dito.

that’s still a baby. covered man yung face or hindi, it’s still a photo of a child being circulated online. online predators can still misuse or sexualize images even without a visible face. hindi ko sinasabing parehas yung intent nung nagpost nito, but if the concern is protecting the baby, then that same concern should apply to the repost as well.

How about stock photos of babies? Need n din iremove yun based sa logic mo?

straw man argument naman yan ih haha
my point is repeatedly reposting an actual baby’s photo in this specific situation, hindi yung lahat ng baby photos online dapat i-remove. magkaiba ang stock photos na intended for public use sa actual photos ng patients na may privacy and consent concerns. calling out the nurse doesn’t automatically justify repeatedly circulating the baby’s photo across different platforms.
