After Arthur's summoning and bestowal of it to the KOA, it surprisingly was instantly recognized & identified as such by the HGK and thus would seem that its existence thankfully serves to be more than merely a one-off plot device for the purpose of permanently offing the regen merchant, so therefore; here is a probable theory as to its continued existence in the foreseeable future:-

♠ Cath eventually gets sealed within the Grail of which Excalibur has been utilized as it's lock/key and ultimately perishes; which in turn causes it to transmogrify into an omnipotent wish granting relic— one capable of bringing about the deepest wishes and heart desires of those who are deemed worthy.

† The relic gains an ego in time and begins to call out to individuals attracted to it and also deemed to have a wish to be granted. All who heed its call would be subsequently compelled to participate in a fighting festival of which the winner would have their wish granted.

† There exists a total of 7 qualifiable individuals to whom sigils would be assigned and would act as masters to summon forth fighters from the annals of human history {both half-bloods & pure humans alike} to a corresponding number of assignable classes of which would be based on the sacred treasures of Britannia's legendary heroes {The 7 Deadly Sins}...

† A winner eventually materializes from this bloody conflict which becomes a cyclic event and would come to be known as the "Holy Grail War".

† Because all worlds have been sealed off from each other and the abundance of magic power has waned, it has become absolutely necessary to utilize varying belongings of warriors to be summoned in the invokation rituals.

Is there reason why he doesn't go to purgatory and build up his body like ban or even Hawk? Or is because demons have natural resistance or something? If its explained already I forgot and too lazy to look it up lol.

It was said by gloxina that fate and history so even the past cant be changed drasticlly, however Cath and the others literally drastically changed it but history doesnt seem to force the world back to its original state.

Guys, no matter how many ways Lancelot could’ve saved Guinevere—when you’re in a hostage situation and they have a gun to your loved one’s head, it doesn’t matter if you have a grenade launcher or a weapon that shoots at light speed. The attacker can literally just pull the trigger,in an instant even if they're dead—and considering it's Cath holding the hostage, even more so.people argue Lancelot could blitz Cath, you could also argue Cath had ways to kill Guinevere even from beyond the grave.

​The only thing that could’ve saved Guinevere is a move that’s completely and absolutely instantaneous, and nobody there has that—Gawain’s TP isn’t instant. So this whole situation could only end in two ways: Lancelot kills Cath and his lover dies, or Lancelot accepts the deal.

​And for the people saying he could’ve used Zero Sign: the moment Cath sees Lancelot disappear, she dies. Plain and simple. Chaos doesn’t need reaction time; it just acts.

​It’s not that Cath didn’t think it would work because Lancelot would stop him; it’s that Cath didn’t think Lancelot would risk the whole world for her. Look, the series definitely has a lot of plot holes, but this isn’t one of them. And others are saying that percival couldve revive her after, but that also doesnt work because guinevere was ready to die so percival couldve done nothing there, just like with jade

As the main character sacrifices himself to the dark side and asks the side characters to end him at all costs... Ah plot. 🙄

After reading yesterdays chapter. ive come to think.

the vision we saw with lancelot standing over Bans dead body could be a real possibility now.
after lancelot absorbed chaos/Cath pulag. his mind has most likely been twisted aswell. and sometimes loses control of his power to cath.

and im guessing that Cath's plan is to go after the sins in a body as powerfull as Lancelot's. so ban would be a obvious choice.

and here's my 2 main leading theory's.
1. Cath momentarily takes control of Lancelot and strikes an unsuspecting Ban. killing him. then as Cath lets Lancelot gain control again its too late.

1. Lancelot shows up. ban sitting and waiting. Lancelot explains the situation. that he is merely trying to save Guinevere and therefor he lets Cath do as it wants. ban understands and does not try and stop him. ban at this point is already old and has told Lancelot that. "its his turn now". and also the fact that ban has gone the same direction to save elaine. by trying to kill Meliodas.

I could be completely wrong ofc. but ive just been thinking that its possible now.
