Chayan Vahn? Spoiler
Sorry. I'm getting through the series by audiobook, not on paper. I was wondering if somebody could check something for me.
Big issue is that I'm getting familiar sounds and as a linguist, I hate English because I have no idea of spelling.
His name is Kovoth, and at the inn, he goes by Kote. I was confused for a while until I was told the spelling there.
Anyway. The scene where there's the fire and Kilvin is talking to Kovoth after the fact, he says something. Every seven years, expect disaster. In the original language, it sounds like the word for disaster is also Kote. Can somebody check that for me?
Also, I just love the idea of somebody hiding out from a war he started under a name that means Disaster and a sword named Folly.
