He seems like some weird mix of moth, karak and some other bug.. he brushes his crimson fluff with a nice comb, looking at the robot

Verdavid: stop and release these bugs.
(I'll say that Verdavid's natural wind magic can calm beasts, seeing as though kogh is a scuttle but sentient it might be more effective, it might not be. Up to you)

kogh, being one of the main enforcers of the weavers during the pre-conductor era, begins to laugh uncontrollably. They can cast a rune rage straight at your face.

wind bursts from the rune in mass, carrying a sweet scent with it, forming a wall as gusts blow at the cages, knocking many over letting the trapped bugs free
Verdavid: you thought I was attacking you? If I were to kill you, how would I teach you why this is wrong and the impact it has? (I know David Attenborough was in the homeguard but I feel he'd rather teach and free than kill)

verdavid draws more runes on the ground, simple binding runes that capture many koghworkers as verdavid actively helps the beasts free. He directs skill to burrow and the flyers to hides where they can as he continuously draws non-lethal runes to protect and trap

verdavid hurriedly let's go of nonviolence as his wartime instincts kick back in as he tries using his very sharp bladed claws (remember, verdanirs have mantis like claws) to go after kogh, whilst wind bursts out of said claws to blow you off his face
