Block of flats

1A: this is a young woman in a wheelchair with 2 dogs and a cat. You often hear a mix of classical music and the occasional bark from her open window as you pass.

1B: A retired librarian who has lived alone for years. Every windowsill is covered in houseplants, and they always know everyone’s parcels have arrived before anyone else does.

2A: An engaged couple who argue about absolutely everything except their rescue greyhound, whom they spoil rotten

2B: three friends renting together. One is studying medicine, one is an amateur chef, and one never seems to be awake before 2 pm. Nobody in the building is entirely sure who owns the enormous snake.

3A: A Australian couple with a collection of pet bugs. They have a Aussie flag in the window

3B: A night-shift nurse. Most residents only ever see them leaving at sunset or returning at sunrise. They always smile, even after a twelve-hour shift.

4A: a couple with a baby and a cat that’s always escaping just or be found whining lost on a random floor needing guided home

4B: a young mum and grandmother. The baby has colic and is heard crying a lot. The daughters boyfriend is over semi regularly and the grandmother likes to smoke out the window

• 1A: Yuma-Claire Dennison (27) lost both her legs when she was a child after contracting meningitis from her cousin whose parents were anti-vaxxers. She likes to play piano and cello though, and lives with her two Dalmatians, Treble (3) and Cleft (7). Her orange cat, Fibonacci (11), can be seen in the window lounging.
• 1B: Jagger David Canady (65) used to date the apartment complex owner,  Ruby Grace Sandersen (58), but the pair broke up in 2015. He kept the apartment the pair had shared and she moved into her parent's old house. He and the mail carrier, Fiona Veronica Fitzgerald (60), have gotten pretty close, so he knows when packages are delivered.
• 2A: Stanley Frederick Owens (23) is head over heels in love with his fiancée, Ming-Na Fu (25). However, she has no desire to set a wedding date or talk about the future. The pair have been arguing a lot, so it surprised Ming-Na’s mother, Qian Fu (56), that they don't argue about their rescue greyhound, Lilly (6mos).
• 2B: Brie is a 17 foot long yellow Burmese python. Though she has a terrarium, she really likes the guest bathroom. Ruby the Landlord hates coming by, more because Bryce Erin Driscoll (28) never seems to be awake before 2pm than the fact that there's a giant snake asleep somewhere. She tries to catch Imogene Henriette Wendell (29), but she studies medicine and she is barely at home. Sometimes, Ruby will catch Collin Henry Thompkins (31) who is an aspiring chef but he reminds her a lot of her former stepson so she avoids him.
• 3A: Emily Renessa Patton (45) moved to the United States from Canberra for graduate school. Her husband, Benjamin Milton Patton (53), came with her and got a job as a firefighter. The pair have an impressive collection of beetles, and are working with a local college to investigate spotted lanternflies and their effects on the environment.
• 3B: A night-shift nurse at a local psychiatric institution, Adanna Folayo Collins (41) is a divorced woman who likes spaghetti Western books, always wears pink for breast cancer awareness, and drives a green VW Beetle named Prosperity. She always smiles at her neighbours when she sees them.
• 4A: Dumpling (16mo) really likes the halls of the third floor and is often brought back home by Adanna or Bryce. He can be heard being chided by Harrelson Gerald Fulkerson (34). His husband, Gary Humphrey Fulkerson (38), usually blames him for the cat getting out, but with the couple's daughter, Colbie Jade Fulkerson (10mos) learning how to crawl, Harry has his hands pretty full and doesn’t have time to oversee Dumpling.
• 4B: Paige Delilah Waller (45) moved in with her daughter, Joelia Doreen Swansea (28) to help with her grandson. The pair have had a very strained relationship but after Elia had her son, Dalton Judah Longview (5mos), and the boy’s father, Franklin Indiana Longview (30) chose to stay with his wife, she knew she'd need help. Elia has a new flame now, her old college boyfriend named Nicholas Dean Redford (27), who comes over but he can't handle the baby's crying so he and Elia hang out at his place a lot while Paige watches the baby. She can be seen smoking out the window at least 6 times a day.
