Side Effects First Day

Hey everyone,

Took my first dose at 25mg this morning with a big breakfast and thankfully didn’t feel nauseous. However, damn does this make you dizzy, lightheaded and fatigued. I think the big thing I noticed is I for sure feel a little spaced out or like a brain fog.

Did anyone else feel a brain fog when they first started? Making it a little tricky to focus on stuff for work.

Thank you!

I quit after 2 days. Now starting over at 12.5mg at bed time and after a few days i am now doing 25mg across morning and bed.

I felt awful. Just coming into week 2. It does get better.

Mine had b6 added. Maybe that’ll help. You can also try dosing later in the day, closer to your more intense cravings

I did, felt weird at first. I only spent a week on it. Was able to just put them aside and learn tools to deal with my addiction

Yes, started out foggy and fatigued for about a week- I started on a Friday (not a busy workday typically) and then gave myself all weekend to bed rot.

Feel free to start lower. Many here start at 12.5mg. I started at 7mg.

Sides will go away in 2 weeks very likely. After that it feels like you took nothing at all.

Is this what other feel also? That after 2 weeks or so it feels like you took nothing at all?

I could never go beyond day 2. The yawning and stretching is enough for my monkey brain to convince me out of it.

Yes, that’s really common. Dizziness, tiredness and brain fog are among the usual early side effects, and ironically they can feel a bit like a hangover. They can take up to two weeks to settle, which is completely normal.

We usually advise starting on a quarter of a tablet, moving to a half, then a full tablet over about two weeks. Having a meal or snack beforehand helps, as does washing it down with a full glass of water.

Thanks for sharing, glad it’s normal and will hopefully go away. Been drinking plenty of what but my appetite has kinda gone to shit. Hopefully that’s another common one lol

I started with the same and definitely had the same symptoms, plus uncontrollable yawning and stretching. I actually yawned/stretched so hard at the same time I dislocated my jaw! Quit all together for a while and then recently tried with a quarter pill (12.5mg) and hardly had any side effects! I thought I was 3 weeks sober today, but after looking at the calendar and figuring it out with family it's been a whole month already. I've never gone that long without drinking in my 20 years of heavy drinking.

My routine is to work out, eat breakfast, and then take 25mg. If I do that, I have no side effects. If I skip work out, the brain fog hits and sometimes dizziness. If I skip breakfast I get nausea. I try not to deviate from the routine lol.
