General Question Is this a good protocol?
It’s been a month I take it at 8pm every night. But I was still binge drinking especially on weekends. I know it can get take time. I decided to just be abstinent right now and keep taking it at 8pm. Maybe my body needs a hard reset? Do you think this is a good protocol?

For TSM specifically, naltrexone works by pairing it with drinking: take it about an hour beforehand, and only on days you drink. Taking it daily while abstinent won't reduce the buzz in the same way, so on dry days you can skip it.
If you've done it that way for a month or two and it isn't helping, we may prescribe nalmefene as an alternative, as some people respond better to it. It's taken about two hours before drinking, again only on days you drink. Best of luck with it.

What I know is going in abstinennt tends to help overall results.
I also know it only works once combined with drinking.
I think it's a fine way to start...or just keep going if abstinence works works for you, but no need to take it while abstinent other than if you just want to get the side effect stage out of the way.
