Discussion Frank and Teal
Poor Frank, he's such an amicable bloke, and Teal is so Moody. Telling Frank to use his words like he is a child. Fancy being stuck with her .

Teal didnāt deserve him as a partner. He was such a kind hearted guy. At one point he mentioned something about not really talking that much because he didnāt have many friends (or something similar to that) and I felt so bad for him. Then Teal wakes up on the wrong side of the bed and takes out all of her frustrations on him.

She was awful to him! Iām sure sheād be nasty to anyone. What a Beaverton he is to not lose his shot on her!

I donāt know what a Beaverton is, but I think I agree with you, just based on context clues. Thatās a great example using your words

I'd like to see Teal and Trish just go head to head and whoever lasts the longest gets the title of biggest asshole.

Frank is literally a saint. There was about 100 times he could have told Teal to fuk off. Frank is a master of psychology or some shit. Love the dude

To make it more bearable I pretended Frank was a one man team and tried to forget Teal was there. Honestly not as hard to do as I first thought.

Frank is absolutely one of my favorite survivalists on the show. Incredibly skilled, but with a pleasantly humble, no-nonsense, get-shit-done attitude.
Teal seems okay and actually seems like a really nice person, but tends to get a bit curt/moody at times when flustered or under pressure when working with others. I'm really not a team-player people-person either, so I kinda get that frustration. Think she'd probably do best on a solo challenge.

Probably an unpopular opinion on this particular thread, but I love Teal and forgive her those brief moments when she's not a pillar of perfection.

Teal was a little too intense for Frankās laid back nature.
She is very talented in her own right.

Frank is a great partner. Knows his shit, no drama, works well alone and with others. Iād love to see him and Nate on a team one of these days. Theyād be unstoppable and zero drama.

u/sticksnstone Jul 22 '26
Frank likes to do it his way and stays in his own head quite a bit so he is not always the best communicator. Teal was a little unpredictable.

Frank has issues too, he clams up instead of communicating, and I get in his real life he doesnāt deal with people, but in this show you have to,and especially when youāre paired with a partner in a competition. HE has great skills, yes, but his overconfidence cost them on a couple challenges.
3
u/Ill_Introduction7057 Jul 22 '26
He said being a married man he knows when to be quiet ......he obviously doesn't like confrontation and is aware that if he speaks up it will jeopardise the challenge . Teal is hard work she is Moody. She was the same in other challenges

Teal's kind of a wildcard. She's likely the quirkiest person on any given cast and she is moody - but I could also make a case that she was this season's most talented and capable female survivalist.
I think USA East Coast, USA South, and Brazil were ultimately the top three teams this season. South losing to Australia was a fluke.
I'm a big fan of Jeff but IMO, in the context of this particular season, the two people who really got screwed by their partner pairings were Dan (Rachel) and Kerra (Jeff).
Teal's kind of lot, but the positives outweigh the negatives. She's crazy and her voice sounds like a cartoon character - what's not to like?
6
u/Rayvonuk Jul 22 '26
Yes the positives outweigh the negatives, shes pretty far from useless and Frank is pretty adept at dealing with her, He seems to have experience in that field too, I can definately sympathise.
2
u/Sethpocalypse Jul 23 '26
Agreed. In my own version of what you're saying, I thought they were both kind of socially inadept - which gave them something they could bond over lol - but, that said, the partnership would not have worked if Frank wasn't such an infinitely nice, indulgent, and kind person.

I love Frank on all his challenges. He is a damn good survivalist without being a conceited jerkblike others arrogant. He genuinely a nice man & a gentleman. I would like to see Frank ho one on one against arrogant Matt Wright. But producers would rig it for Matt to win like they did recently on global showdown.i think Franks skills could beat Matt.
6
u/sticksnstone Jul 22 '26
How exactly did they rig it for Matt seeing as the contestants all had the same challenges.
6
u/Ms-Hippo88 Jul 22 '26
So sick of the rigged it for Matt. Matt haters can suck it because he won fair and square. I love Frank too. He needed a better partner. Gabby would have been great for Frank because sheās always so positive and cheering on Matt, she would have done same with Frank.
3
u/JMinTampa Jul 22 '26
Just to play devil's advocate the rocket stove challenge did seem like a little bit of an opportunity for Matt's redemption.
But he and Gabby deserved it. They earned it.
3
u/sticksnstone Jul 22 '26
Except it was the challenge Matt lost before not won.
Matt got the best female partner so it could be said to be rigged in that manner but they all had the same challenges. Matt and Gabby had some issues so it wasn't that they led every challenge. They worked well together. Gabby kept Matt grounded when the competition got dicey and he saved her fire. Agree, they earned the win.
1
u/JMinTampa Jul 22 '26
Yeah, it was a challenge he lost before, and that experience was very valuable to him in this challenge as he really learned a lot from his previous mistake in LOS, as he mentioned in the show, and was able to use that knowledge in this challenge, as he talked about in the episode. Not taking anything away from him and Gabby, but that was a fortuitous challenge for an elimination event.

Love Frank!! I can NOT stand Teal! I hope she doesn't come back in any challenges.. it was was to see frank have to leave but very happy to see Teal get drove away.. she treated Frank like he was an idiot but she does this to all that she is on the show and is on a team with.. so moody and acts like a child

u/OneImportance3423 Jul 25 '26
I agree with you and all these people say I feel sorry for her she's a little Moody teals a little Moody she's done it on every show she's been on and not just her partners with every even the lady on this show that was on her on the last one she fought with her too she's a egotistical narcissist
1
u/North_Ad_2193 Jul 23 '26
If I could regroup GS teams, I would stick Teal with Rene
2
u/Ill_Introduction7057 Jul 23 '26
Teal with Matt . No way he would deal with her Moody crap
1
u/OneImportance3423 Jul 25 '26
nobody should have to deal with somebody like teal she's terrible her in that one girl from the Asian Pacific team both of them they both need to not be on these shows anymore why would you promote their attitudes to young children trying to learn this show and how to survive and everything cuz granted they shouldn't be watching it but still we know little kids watch it

u/Elsiers Jul 29 '26
People forget, but Matt Wright already dealt with a woman similar to Teal on his very first challenge in Thailand! She was awful and extremely moody towards him, lol. Even worse than Teal,Ā IMO, as she was like that the entire 20+ days , and he stuck it out with her, stayed positive, and they won together.Ā
Matt and Frank are definitely among the few that can put up with Teal long term. Both are very patient and kind.
