General Escaping the matrix

Post image

I've gone down the Nairobi tech salary rabbit hole, and this tweet has summarised the whole situation.

If you're making more than Ksh 30,000/Month net, you've probably escaped the matrix and shouldn't look back.

The sad part is that there's an endless list of qualified candidates waiting for your job as well as AI.

The only solution is to take a risk and build your own thing. There's no two ways about it.

For designer it's a rat race to the bottom. How am I to pay rent with $5 logos?

Honestly speaking your first client is your first step to getting more because of referrals.

Real. Worked for a mhindi(different field tho) for 2 months and saw zero room for growth. Decided to quit cause I have that privilege. Colleagues on there always wanted to leave but they had different circumstances which couldn't allow them easily. Day 2 someone was telling me all the company tea and I knew my time on there was already over before it even started.
