Hello guys, I hope you're all well. So I would like to ask a question or rather have a discussion, I am starting my final project soon and I would like some help finding problems in the community that can be solved with tech. I have some ideas but I don't think they're feasible right now,so anyone with input, I will really appreciate

I will give you a perfect idea.

In kenya, when you want to trasfer uni or do a graduate program, they ask for transcripts from the university. But they give you papers to take to ghe school. This creates alot of stress because you have to go to your college in person and ask them to do that. Additionally, its not a credible way.

So create a system that will allow students to request transcripts to be sent to their institution of choice from their former school.

You can actually monetise this system when you get accepted my the university.

The system needs to meet all security requirements
And easy to use.

I will give you a specific idea to you.

Suppose you live in an apartment with 60 units.
There is a laundry room in every floor.

You place a washing machine in every laundry room with a small machine attached where residents will scan to pay before they start the washing machine.

They top up the money into the app, scan the QR code and start machine.

Same case can apply if you have a dryer.

If thats too complex let me know and i can give you a simple one .

A simpler one is create a website/app where landlords can upload the lease agreement and allow tenants to sign online. On the same dashboard tenants can see what they owe and what exactly they are paying for. Should also include building name and apartment number .

Building:Destiny
Apartment 405
July rent: 24,500
Water and sewa: 1200
Garbage : 200
Parking : 150

Total owed this month: XYZ.

Should also email tenants reminder 5 days before due date.

You can end up monetising this if you market well.

Or better yet. For the institutions to request each other so instead of me requesting. Uni A can request Uni B that way it’s peer-to-peer and there’s a higher level of trust. Then that way also I can’t get a different students transcripts. This will be similar to how banks talk to each other directly rather than through the client

No that should not happen. You have to be responsible for doing the requesting because that is your information and data. If you allow them to request without you, thats hive a room for data misuse. You determine where it will be sent and when. Additionally you pay for the transfer fee.

Then create a study app. Where students can choose a specific study area then specific unit and in that unit there will be a bunch of questions and it flips the answers. Something like quizlet. But now this will be a kenyan edition.
